What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device so it can remember things between page loads — for example, that you have already accepted the cookie banner. They are not programs and they cannot read other files on your device.

What we use today

Right now, this site only uses strictly-necessary cookies. They are the ones we cannot operate the site without, like the session cookie our hosting provider sets and the cookie that remembers your choice on the cookie banner. We do not use any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

If we add analytics in the future, it will only ever be after you have given consent through the banner, and the cookies it sets will appear in the table below.

Cookies in use

Name Purpose Type Provider Duration
_vercel_* Session and security cookies set by our hosting provider so the site loads correctly and stays protected. Essential Vercel Session
pxl_consent Remembers your choice on the cookie banner so we do not have to ask again on every page. Essential PXL Design 12 months
Analytics cookies will appear here in future, only after you have given consent through the banner. Until then, this section stays as it is.

How to control cookies

You have two ways to control cookies on this site.

Through our banner

The cookie banner appears the first time you visit. You can accept all, reject all, or open the manage view to choose category by category. Your choice is saved for 12 months. To change it later, click Cookie settings in the footer of any page and the banner will reopen.

Through your browser

Every modern browser lets you view, block or delete cookies in its settings. The exact steps differ by browser, so the simplest place to start is the official guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

More on how we use data

Cookies are only one part of how we handle information. For the full picture — what personal data we hold, why we hold it, and your rights under UK GDPR — see our privacy policy.
